Kirsten aka Avielle Orion:
Kirsten of Take Flight Aerial has had a passion for dance since childhood. She has developed from a ballet dancer to a fire performer and aerialist. Kirsten seeks to diversify the public's taste for dance and art by making fire and circus arts more accessible to others. While pursuing her academic goals and earning a M.S. in Molecular Biology, she finds a creative outlet in circus arts. She lights up the stage, galas and festivals with her fire and fabric in tow. Having performed for celebrity super bowl events, the Dallas Cowboys, with top DJ's (Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Morgan Page) and producers, weddings organized by celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera and just about everything in between.... she continues to hold an insatiable desire to fly.
Emily's love of movement, performance, and the continuous need for an adrenaline rush started before she was introduced to the world of aerial dance three years ago. Emily began competitive cheerleading at the age of 11 and continued cheering through high school and into college. In addition, she studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Thai Boxing prior to training as an aerialist. Today, Emily's fascination and dedication to the art continues to grow as she develops her skills on the fabric and trapeze under the instruction of Amy Ell at Gyrotonic Houston.
Brandi's career in dance began long ago at the tender age of three. This passion has continued well into adulthood although she has now traded her pointe shoes and tutu for a shiny silver pole (admittedly she sports the occasional tutu). Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Brandi relocated to Dallas for college and to pursue a career. She currently works as an interior stylist and runs a design blog in her ever dwindling spare time. Brandi signed up for her first pole class in 2009 at the insistence of a good friend, "I had no idea what I was getting myself into, let alone how addicted I would become!". Brandi currently lives in Carrollton, TX with her husband, two silly dogs and obese cat named Meowser . She trains at Choice Training.
